“Rahiman
paani raakhiye, bin paani sab soon” (Rahiman preserve water; everything is void
without water). This old verse
of noted Bhakti era poet Rahim, today used by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi
to address the people of the nation through his latest episode of “Mann ki
Baat” on the issue of water conservation. The Prime Minister although raise
several issues including tourism, start ups and several other topics but he
concentrated upon the issue of water conversation in his address.
He said that he himself belong to the region facing water
scarcity. Stressing water conservation is the need of hour, he said that
recycling of water is important and it must be come in practice. He presented
several examples that how people are preserving our eco system as well as water
through their constant efforts. He also motivated people to conserve ponds,
lakes and water bodies including wells.
He also gave examples of startups in Ayush (ayurveda) sector
and elaborated how startups in these sectors are rocking. He also urged the
startups and companies to provide details in other languages too as several
nations follow languages other than English. He also extends greetings to the
people for upcoming festivals including Navaratra too.
