State polls: PM, Shah thank people

Cong still looking possibilities

As the election results of both the states of Maharashtra and Haryana and bye polls  has almost come out, PM Modi and BJP President Amit Shah today thanked people for their trust in the party. Addressing the gathering in New Delhi, he said that despite anti-incumbency factors in these states, BJP has been able to increase its vote share in these states.
It is notable that BJP-Shiv Sena combine has won 161 seats in Maharashtra, while Congress’ alliance has got 105 seats in Maharashtra. On the other hand, BJP has emerged as single largest party in the state with 40 seats while Congress has won 31 seats. While both BJP and Congress are depending on other parties, BJP has decided to make claim for the formation of the government.
However, Congress too has given freehand to state leadership to form the government in the state. If believe on sources, the party is looking possibilities to put forward the claim to form government in the state.
