Politics: Leading opposition!

Political activities have suddenly got a boost amid the ongoing parliament session and snooping controversies as the opposition did not leave any opportunity to show their unity and strength in the current scenario.

Hardly a week after Mamta Banerjee’s meeting with Congress Supremo Sonia Gandhi, a gathering of opposition parties took off on Tuesday morning, called by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on the issue of snooping and rise of fuel prices. The meeting was called at a time when sessions of both the houses of the parliament are going on and repeated adjournments are being witnessed in both of the houses on snooping issue.

Although, it was a brief meeting but it speaks so many things about the future political moves of the party as well as opposition.

It is interesting fact that Bihar’s Chief Minister Nitish Kumar too has entered into the scene on Monday by raising the demand of probe of snooping row. On the other hand his party too is coming closer to Omprakash Chautala and other allies.

On the other hand, RJD Supremo Laloo Prasad Yadav too has called on Mulayam Singh Yadav and Akhilesh Yadav and promised them to campaign for them during the polls in UP.

These are new political equations taking place ahead of the polls in the states. It is notable that Kejriwal’s AAP and BSP have stayed away from Rahul’s meeting, indicating that a lot of work yet to be done to make opposition united. But the meeting has certainly indicate that coalition is taking shape but who will lead the coalition is yet to be decided.
