Olympics, politics, diplomacy get wider attention

Olympics, snooping controversy in the Parliament, visit of US Secretary of State Antony J.  Blinken’s visit to India and  Mamata Banerjee’s national ambition to work for united opposition has received wider coverage in the media on Wednesday. Modi’s meeting with social and religious leaders for Covid vaccination and developments in Olympics too have been covered widely.

Several publications have published the report with photographs. Reports of Mamata Banerjee’s meeting with Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi too have received good response in the media. Freepressjournal has published the news with photograph.

While repeated adjournments in the both houses of the Parliament on the issue of snooping appeared as the lead story in many publication.  

On the other hand, Blinken’s visit  and his meeting with External Affairs Minister S. Jayashankar and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval has been covered widely in the both print and electronic media as well as online media.

His views on peace and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific region and democratic stability in Afghanistan have widely covered by the media. Media has also reported his meeting with the representative of Tibetan spiritual leader and members of civil societies.

Delhi’s newspapers have also covered the city government’s announcement for public consultation for opening of schools and colleges.

Reports of some good news in the Olympics too have been covered in the media on front page as well as sports pages. Performance of Deepika Kumari, P V Sindhu and some other players received wide coverage.
