The IPCC has raised the issue of climate disaster in its latest report. The report “Climate Change 2022: Mitigation of climate change” throws light on the need to intensify the efforts to reduce emission and asked governments to formulate and implement policies to improve environment.
The report also indicates that the despite highest emission rate in the post pandemic years the global growth was slowed down indicating the adaptation of wrong policies and its implementation. The report was although scheduled to release in mid 2021 but the report could not be released due to outbreak of pandemic. The report has been approved on April 4, 2022 by 195 member nations.
