I-Day celebrations get wider attention

Independence day celebrations have received wider attention of media, as most of the publications have made it first headline and gave prominence to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speech at Red Fort.

“Modi calls for ‘saturation coverage’ of welfare scheme beneficiaries”, says The Times of India in its first lead story. While Hindustan Times in its lead story says “Modi spell out vision for independent India @100”.

In another lead story, Business Standard says “‘Gati Shakti’ to give rs. 100-trn infra boost”. The story  elaborates Modi’s ambitious plan to boost economy through investment in infrastructure sector. Modi made the announcement during his 90-minute long address at Red Fort.

Modi’s five big plans have also recieved wider coverage in the media and most of the publications have published the event of celebrations at Red Fort with photographs. His praise for covid workers and health staffs, sportspersons’ performances at Olympics as well as his announcement to open sainik schools for girls too have received wider attention in the media.

Most of the publications have published the news of I-Day celebrations in states and abroad with photographs.

Delhi’s newspapers have given prominence to NCTof Delhi government’s announcement to bid for 2048 Olympics.
