Media has given wider coverage to the demand of caste census and meeting of Bihar’s Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and delegation of other parties have attracted media and some of the publications have made it lead story. Although, Prime Minister has not given any assurance on the issue but some publications say that more parties may join chorus.
It is notable that the demand of caste census is not new. Several other parties too have raised demand for caste census. But this time all parties have come with rare solidarity on the issue.
Business publications have made Finance Minister’s Nirmala Sitharaman’s rupees six trillion monetization plan first lead. The ambitious plan includes monetization of roads, train, pipelines, railway station and many others based on PPP or TOP model.
Afghanistan’s crisis continues to grab eyeballs of the readers as the crisis has been grabbing prominent space at front as well as international pages. Briefing of Minister of External Affairs S. Jayashankar to all party meeting on 26th and G-7’s emergency meeting on Tuesday received wider coverage in the media. Several newspapers have also mentioned Modi’s discussion with German Chancellor Angela Merkel ahead of G-7 meeting apart from Afghanistan’s developments amid US evacuation.
Delhi’s publications have also published reports of inauguration of first smog tower in Connaught Place area.
