Budget 21: A vision for growth

Yuva-vani.com

The Union budget has finally been appeared as ‘pro-active’, as described by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and more realistic budget. Although, several stimulus and other provisions have been made for at least four times during the period of Corona but several provisions have been made to provide growth to the economy, rather than concentrating on fiscal consolidation.

Some of the new incentives like tax holiday for the start-up for one year, big budgetary push for the vaccination programme to eliminate Corona and agricultural growth can be catalysts for growth in such a difficult period of pandemic.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman says that vision is to provide growth to the economy at the moment and not prudence. The major areas of concentration are including health, infrastructure, agriculture,  roads, housing, education and skill developments.

Middle class and salaried class may not be happy as no changes have been witnessed in the tax slabs. But, initiatives like opening of new schools and military schools may be some new features of the budget this year.
